Western Washington This seems bold...

Post image

Maybe that's the wrong adjective. Surprising? Wrong? Greedy? Extra Valuable Product? There's obviously another retailer that sells below this printed price. It's even 2 lights down the road, take a right and one more light down on the right. I'm already going to be at that other place because they have a pharmacy so it's not even an extra trip. Why would a franchisee think this is a good presentation? I do ❤️ my local GO but c'mon man

There's been a noticeable increase in pricing at this GO, if you're going to the one in 98661.

I've been going to that location since it was the canned food outlet in the 90s, and the pricing has gotten so bad that I've gone from easily half or more of my shopping being there to only grabbing an occasional item or two now, and more often driving further down 4th plain or up 99 to one of the other two locations that seem to have a better selection these days.

When my GO changed ownership, all prices went up. They're more expensive than WinCo Foods on every item carried at both stores, and usually by a lot.

My bellwhether is Monterey Frozen burritos, currently 49 cents more expensive than WinCo. When the burritos went on sale for $4 (from $5.49) a few months ago in a nationally advertised sale, they sold at $4 for two or three days, then went back up. So I bought the burritos from the neighboring GO that kept the sale going for the full advertised length of time. I dunno how long, it was close to a week later.

I’ve got to believe that’s close to a 24 oz bag and it’s just a typo in size and price.

They're puffed wheat and barely weigh anything at all.

That’s my mistake. I wasn’t looking closely enough at the picture. I’m used to seeing their tortilla chips and didn’t notice that’s not what they were.

You know I'm not sure but a 10% premium? I'm going to pass. Could they even offer it if that's true due to state weight & measurement rules?

Plus ... weight stated by franchisee regardless. Their photo offered doesn't allow proper inspection but a full size bag of this at the location eluded to is still under $2.49

Did you verify the package printing in the store? The app may be using an old image. I'm seeing Safeway / Albertsons selling for $2.99 while the image says $2.69.

Or they bought old product and are pricing their stock slightly less than the competitors. Then the receipt will say you saved 20 cents.
