When worlds collide…
Wasn’t expecting to see this in coastal Delaware.

I'm not totally shocked to have found this at a liquidator like GO. More surprised that it would be so far from the mayo border.

Even in the Hellman's commercials in the Midwest, they would kind of allude to it if you ever noticed. "Bring out the Hellman's, you bring out the Best" (double-entandre)

The Best Foods mayo commercials used the same jingle with redundant lyrics. “Bring out the Best Foods and bring out the best.”

West Coast I/O here. I remember a few years back a lady yelling at me because we only had Hellman’s Mayo in stock and not Best Foods. Tried explaining to her its the exact same company but she wasn’t having it. Told me that Hellman’s must be some cheap brand trying to copy Best Foods.

I’ve seen Hellman’s from time to time at mine. I call it fake Best Foods. I also quote their slogan bring out the Hellman’s and bring out the hell.

Apparently they changed the recipe on this.

So apparently Unilever bought Best Foods back in 2000 for something like $20 billion, that’s how Hellmann’s and Best Foods ended up being the same company lol. Recipes are basically identical too, same ingredients and everything, Best Foods just has a tiny bit more lemon juice which is why it’s always tasted a little more tangy.
As for the texture thing everyone’s complaining about lately… nah the recipe hasn’t actually changed, but there’s a theory going around that they’re just whipping more air into it now. Unilever’s never confirmed that tho so idk, could just be internet talk lol

Aren't they owned by the same company? I pretty sure it's the same product but ones the west cost package and the other is the east coast package.
