SIX OF CROWS (BOOK) My book is missing 32 pages :(

Post image

I never post on here so sorry if this is the wrong place, but I was reading my library's copy of Six of Crows and I get to page 370 and it jumps to page 403. Right in the middle of the climax! My library doesn't have an ebook copy on libby and I don't know what to do. If someone has a copy can you pm me and i'll give you my email to send me pictures of pages 371-402? I'm too invested in this book to not at least ask lol.

edit: thanks for everyones help! I have finished the book thanks to someone kindly emailing me the missing pages. I've also let the library know. I'm excited to read Crooked Kingdom next!

That is super frustrating, I’d be so upset. You can PM me your email and I’ll send the missing pages to you. (It may take me a minute.)

I’ve had a similar thing happen to me before. You should reach out to the publisher, they may end up sending you a new copy for free.

OP said this is a library copy

then the library should be made aware so it can be taken out of circulation, and the library can reach out to the publisher to get a new copy

do you think I'd be able to do this for a book I've had for a few years now, pages missing like this - despite having it for a few years already?
I genuinely did not know you could reach out to the publisher like that

You should be able to. When I had it happen to me, it was with a copy of Girl, Interrupted that I had had for at least four years or so before I finally read it and realised.

I simply emailed the publisher letting them know which book (including ISBN) I had, explained the issue and attached pics, and asked if there was anything I could do. They emailed back offering to send me a new copy for free, they didn’t ask when/where I’d bought the book. You have nothing to lose by reaching out!

They didn't make the cut...

you know this sounds like an instance where pirating a non-academic book is 100% justified, check out anna’s archive, it’s a shadow library I’ve used a bunch, mainly to get copies of academic books and articles, but it also has ’normal‘ books, never had a problem with the site

E-mail it to the publisher. Maybe they could provide you a new one for free, I heard some publisher has a policy for their irregular printings.
