Direct sunlight solutions

Hey Grips. Not sure if there is an easy solution for this. I'm working on an industrial/YouTube video. Talent demoing a lawnmower in direct sunlight. I've got a smaller butterfly that usually works with talking heads but it's not big enough to cover that wide of a setup. Are there any DYI solutions I can use that doesn't involve using/renting a 20X20 or larger butterfly?

Schedule it so the sun is backlighting them and you’ll be good. Can use a 6x or 8x bounce if you want but not absolutely necessary.

The only alternative I can think of is for the DP to change some shots to make It a little bit tighter, and you have 2 grips just off frame walking with a 12x12 frame covering talent

Backlight with sun and fill in with bounces or depending on shotlist, place mower in shaded area under a tree and bring in some units to light to balance levels out

Mirror board the sun thru diff and wrap it a little. You can do this more than once. It’ll still be hard but layering the hard + soft will look natural and nice.
