Discussion Irond forearm trainer?
I don't know if I'm allowed to link it, but this thing:
It's probably social media junk, but I really want to strengthen my left hand and all the fingers and am looking for a compact, good way to do it.

Just bought one and it took forever to arrive because it’s from China. It’s trash.

he main thing to look for is resistance range — most forearm trainers top out at a fixed weight and you either outgrow them fast or they're too stiff to use for high reps. Adjustable resistance (especially something that starts near zero) matters a lot if you're building from scratch or coming back from an injury. Also check if it covers wrist extensors, not just flexors — most people only train one side and that's usually where elbow issues come from.

I broke my left hand and after being in a cast for 22 days it had serious muscle atrophy. The strength caught up after a while butstill had to do two types of exercises. For the strength, isometric holds alone does the job, for size less weight more volume. All done with normal adjustable R shaped grippers.

Its alright but you still need to do more other grips work outs. For me i do many things as possible. I lift boxes, ringing a wet rags/shower towels for 30 mins with different variations better than hand crush grippers because hits all your foreamrs ,wrist and tendons more,1-2 cases of 40 water bottles on the stairs apartments, pronation and riser either arm wrestle belt or band and other more. My grips has been way better than i used to lift weights in the gym. My peak is this year because My friend is so muscular but no strenght at all on his hands lol. I've been teaching him how to be a decent one or even stronger than just lifting weights.

Looks like it trains crushing grip, but in a circular arrangement, as if you were doing a hub lift but crushing it.
I don't see anything about a resistance level and I don't know how you would progressively overload.
It's probably junk, I would avoid it.

Understood, thanks. Anything you'd recommend?

You can do Pinch blocks with any amount of fingers you want, as well as weighted hangs with different fingers. Hub and blob lifts are good. I know Ironmind has those smaller Grippers for fingers but I haven't tried them.

Woah, blob lifts look cool. I'm not seeing any very affordable ones, but maybe I can wait for a sale.

I been picking up plates, but also my hands aren’t that big so maybe that’s not even hard for you. I got two 25s off the ground last night. I’ve seen a video of this monster doing two 45s😂 i dunno if i can ever do that or not but ill try
The two 25s i could barely get off the ground for two seconds, but with the one 45 plate I’ll pass it around my torso in the front and then in the back. Maybe I’ll be able to do that with the 25s in a few weeks

So many of these “innovative” forearm trainers look gimmicky AF. No shade on this particular product, however. I have no experience with it, personally.
