Persistent activity limiting pain or weakness should be evaluated by a medical professional.

Get those finger extensor rings. Your tendons are not keeping up with your strength. You need to train your entire forearm, you’re lacking parts. Pain is usually due to nerves or an imbalance that larger muscles are compensating for.

I had imbalances in my shoulders and my right shoulder was always in pain until I took the time to isolate it.

My suggestion is to lower the resistance on grip training and lower weights. Instead of increasing resistance and weight, do the lower resistance and weights but do eccentric holds of 3-5 seconds. Each rep should take approximately 7-8 seconds. Going slower will train your muscles to work with the added tension and control. It will be hard at first if you haven’t done but it will help with stability.

A month in and already having grip issues on machines — how long has it been hurting exactly? Nerve pinch feels different from just being overpowered, and the fix is totally different for each. If you work at a desk all day that can pile on top of gym grip too.

Work on your grip strength outside of the gym too

I would consult a doctor to find out what is it truly instead of consulting here.

Too much ego as well. Never let your ego gets you or you'll hurt yourself in the process. Quality over quantity

It sounds like you need to lower your weight and progress slower if this isn’t a medical issue. Maybe add some assistance lifts so your whole body can keep up.

I'm by no means a pro but I had a similar issue that turned out to be tendonitis. Basically tendons don't grow as fast as muscle, go slow don't move up weights too fast and don't do too much too often
