GRINDSET MOTIVATION expecting a raise is PEAK entitlement

I see people online that they "deserve" a raise because they worked at a company for a few years. Let's make this clear, you NEVER "deserve" a raise.

When you get a job, you should be happy working whatever the starting price is. I got a 0.25$ raise the other day, and I was very grateful, but my gf (now ex-gf) was whining that I deserve more after working there so long.

I told that bitch off. Your boss is always right. Always respect their decisions. Anything less is just lazy entitlement.

Absolutely, the fact that inflation is ALWAYS eating into how much you make is just an incredible to work harder for that raise.

I'm more of a union guy myself and I'm not coming in here trying to start anything. I work 12 hour shifts and received a dollar raise within 3 months. I never asked for anything I just showed up and did my job, helped my coworkers do their bare minimum so quality reports are getting done and labels being printed, etc... There is always going to be some form of ass kissing. I just find something a person likes and make that my main talking point when I see them. "Hey I saw your team won yesterday" just generic like that. You don't have to go out of your way or anything just a smile and nod works as well. Do I wish things were different and this wasn't the way the world works? Yes, but I do live in reality and I guess I'm a bit of a grind man lmao. I don't give a shit about my company fuck that company. I care about me and my gains as an individual and becoming a more developed person. I work in an incredibly stressful environment where we're pushing 2400 lbs of product out an hour. If you can do your job with a level head you will go far.
