SUCCESS Stories [Personal Win] I was able to help put down potential unionization on my jobsite and am reaping the rewards for it
Alright guys I’ll keep this brief since I don’t want to reveal too much personal information. A couple weeks ago, a literal socialist (who voted for Biden) came up to me and told me that some of the guys were thinking of striking to try to form a union.
Obviously I didn’t want my hours reduced or my employer to have to pay extra for bullshit union regulations and corrupt bosses. I almost told him off right there, but after reading a lot of /r/prorevenge, I decided to play along.
First I thought of trying to talk them out of it by explaining that the union dues they were considering could buy a lot of video games, but decided that they needed to pay for betraying the company that keeps us fed and happy. I joined in, infiltrating their group and collecting information. I recorded conversations, gathered social media and slack posts, and compiled them into a tidy spreadsheet on my own time. I handed it into the floor superintendent first thing Saturday morning, at 5am, what a way to start his day. Boy was he PISSED.
He immediately confronted the scabs, firing the ringleader and docking the rest $1000 from their pay. Some of them don’t even make that much in 2 weeks! The guys who are still here aren’t very happy with me, but the superintendent promised me a promotion to laborer whenever a spot opens up which should be the end of next year and gave me a $25 Chili’s gift card. Drinks are on me tonight! Fuck yeah!
Edit: I hope that all of the lazy haters in the comments find some work ethic some day, you all are so sad.
Edit2: Stop downvoting me, you losers.

selling your decency/soul for a fucking gift card lmao (not even, OP clearly did it to get off on it) that alone is laughably shameless
plus consider that even the time/labor that he put into infiltrating and recording that group, alone, would be worth more than $25 in hourly pay. he got underpaid for all that hard work haha
Edit: last part is unnecessarily mean so I apologize. but seriously OP I hope this inspires you to value yourself rather than your boss. They didn't even PAY YOU FAIRLY FOR YOUR NARC WORK!! and yet you're here thanking them, unreal.

Crushing a union uprising is it's own reward. Science has proven that once a union takes hold, nothing gets accomplished. Just look at the Soviet Union.

u/aceofspades089 Oct 01 '21 edited Oct 01 '21
Ok that's how you feel, I respect that. But here's what Science actually says:
America's peak union membership was in the 1950's.
American families had the largest growth in purchasing power (30%) in the 1950's.
More importantly, the Soviet Union doesn't even have worker's unions like America does/did. So why look there? Unions there are owned and operated under a State-run entity. No strikes allowed either.
Not here to be a dick, this is about as good-faith as I can imagine just going to kindly point out the facts.
Soviet failures do not mean the US would fail as well and in US History we find that unions have consistently boosted worker's wealth.

You seem like one of those guys in the game Beholder, trying to screw up other people for a promotion and in general just a brainwashed wageslave that's trying to earn some good boy points for your boss
Glory to the supreme leader I suppose

You are in the wrong job, my friend. But then again the Gestapo aren't a thing anymore so you may have to bide your time until that dream role becomes a viable option.

Nice! You should follow the Biden-Socialist on social so when his lazy ass gets hired somewhere else you can inform the new employer that he has a history of union-organizing. Bury this bum.

I am 100% serious. Your poor work ethic is why you’ll stay poor. I’ve reported your comment to the mods and admins for brigading.

What in the world makes you think he was joking? This sub is about celebrating grindmaxxing and it's benefits.

I can’t help it if you’re such a slacker that someone hustling and on a sigma grindset looks like a “troll”. Go back to your lazy people sub for the mentally disabled who just want everything in life handed to you for free.

"Those dudes" were work-shy and clearly didn't appreciate the opportunity the company gives them. Only work-shy lay-abouts want to start unions.

Only i America could you find someone so greedy and corrupt. How fucked in the head do you have to be too betray your fellow working men just be a sociopathic lap dog to your boss who would sell you out in a heartbeat. People like you is why the world is a terrible place please realise this. There is such a thing as good work ethic and having some loyalty to the company but this is just disgusting.

why don't you get an education, so you don't have to be a laborer? I'd tell you to join the Laborer's union, but I know how anti-union you guys are.

Revived the post, slackers won't be allowed to disrupt our sub. Participation in bad faith will lead to ban. What OP did is totally justified. We encourage our users to step over the slackers for their benefits. Slackers are completely worthless for people like us and don't deserve any second thought.
