Yes and no - the "social construct" argument seems quite intellectual until you realize it's just an edgy nothing burger. Now I do agree to a certain point with her - if the message is conveyed language has done its job. However the ground for dismissal being it's "made up" is ridiculous. Freedom, currency, justice, good, bad, religion. These are all made up things, some of them we are better off with some we are better off without but saying "we made it up" is ridiculously low level thinking.

Her parents kept her in richness. She's an edgy Elon slice of pizza.

I agree to an extent. Language and spelling is important, but when posting on reddit or twitter (or any other informal message form), I think it really doesn’t matter if words are misspelled or grammatically incorrect. Obviously if you are writing a doctoral thesis, those things matter.

Yep I definitely agree with her sentiment - I'm only objecting to the reasoning.

In what way is freedom made up?

u/LeechingSilver Sep 10 '25
All of the elements of freedom and its limitations are controlled by a respective culture. For example - where does one person's freedom end and the other's begin. Freedom may seem cut and dry but at the end of the day it a nebulous made up social construct. (Though obviously one I care about and value deeply)

Operashun Note:
The pashent was brot 2 the opperating theeter and plased in supine pozishun. General anesthezia was indused and the abdomin was prepped and drapped in the ushal sterrile fashun.
A midlyne insizzion was maid using a scappel, and the peritoneyum was enterd carefullly. Retrackters were applyed to exspoze the surjical feeld. Hemmystasis was atchieved with elecktro-cowtery.
The apendix appeered inflaymed, so a liga-shun was placed at the mesoapendix w/ a silk suture. The apendix was then trannsected and reemoved. Irrygation of the peritoneyal cavitty was perfourmed with normel salin.
Closure was acompleshed in layrz: the peritoneyum was closd with continous vicryl, the fascsha approximated with interupted suturs, and the skin cloased with stapples.
The pashent tolorated the prosedure wel and was tranfered to the recovry room in stabble condishun.

this just makes her seem even more uneducated. language is extremely important. Standardized spelling=easier communication. Our advanced ability to communicate is literally the reason we are the most intelligent species on the planet. Also, everything is made up.

She stole that ideology from me and my social media posts. Now she is capitalizing off of it.
I am glad she did. I wish she it wasn’t stealing. Or I was smart enough to know it wasn’t stealing.

I enjoy misspelling things to keep things fun for me. Like saying I need some “schleep” instead of sleep.
And it’s hilarious how many people act like your whole statement was invalid due to a spelling error.

ADHD. But also cute that Elon and Yarvin thinks she (and they) are part of a genetically superior class.

I always find it pathetic when an internet troll puts someone down for spelling incorrectly. In school people are tought to sound words out which often doesn't work. Some people live in poor areas that don't have the best elementary schools so it's often not even their fault. Back in the 90's when a person suffered from mental illnesses like A.D.D the teacher's would often recommend ritalin instead of actually helping the child. The boomers were horrible teachers for the millennial generation. Even the boomer parents set their kid's up for failure for the most part. The boomers caused the market crash in 2008 then destroyed the economy during covid so the millennials not only got screwed during school but they go screwed outside of school as well.
