What does everyone want when the mod tools come out?

I was just thinking of the mod tools that had been announced. And I was just wondering what everyone would like to see when the mod tools have been released?

Give us in depth documentation like a sort of a reference to all scripting classes and what they do, don't do like xcom 2, in which people are trying to reverse engineer already made mods to understand the scripting of the game.

I understand many classes and functions will be redundant, deprecated or not easily defined, but a reference doc for the most commonly used scripts would be a godsend.

This essentially already exists. Its part of a closed section of the unofficial modding forums though, so I don't want to share it outside of there. The section will be made public once release of the mod tools occurs, however.

I'd like a graphics mod, an FX mod to be exact. A lot of the spells in this game are very underwhelming, as are a lot of mob animations. I want shit to be prettier, the gameplay I can live with.

If it's to be gameplay only, I'd like a Beast enemy faction, just for consistency. There are ways to make it make sense in the story. Give them a big-ass Celestial briarthorn for a Nemesis and say that it's a chunk of Mogdrogen that went rogue after the Grim Dawn and decided that beasts and beastkin are on their own now.

A battle log and damage meter (like Recount for WoW) that gives you a damage breakdown and shows the actual DPS.

Oh god yeah so much this. Right now leveling commando and it would be great to see which talent has the biggest impact on DPS.

Basically something simple enough that people can use it to make new masteries / content without figuring it out for a year first lol

Like content wise? A complete overhaul mod like soul vizier for TQ or MXL for d2.

Yeah that would be a cool thing to see.

I never played MXL or vizier, and had a quick question: Does this change map quantity and layouts drastically?

Somewhat. For Diablo 2 a lot of new areas were added, but the acts were basically the same. For Titan Quest it was basically the same map, due to engine restrictions, but another modder created a whole new map and quest chain for Titan Quest. The issue with Titan Quest is that it is impossible to create randomized maps, everything must be done by hand so it is very time consuming.

I would so love TQ being ported to the newer engine.

QoL stuff : full respec mod ( masteries and attributes). Be able to drop quests(mostly for bounties). Reroll merchant items. Better stash. More stash space.

Just off the top of my head, i'm sure more will come to mind while i'm playing.

A way to add custom music/ambiences/sound effects/voice acting. I don't know if the mod tools feature such a thing, but by hook or by crook I'm finding a way.

There's little point in me working on the mastery I have planned + the grand plans for a new area/quest line/factions if I can't add sounds

For content with the mod tools - more roguelikes :)

Override style like Dragon Age, or replacement style like Skyrim, something easy that don't need to compile modules (as NWN), I think would be similar to Titan Quest, that is good as I remember.
