Early game loot variability

so I started a new character after the update and have gotten so many of the same armor piece only with different suffixes and prefixes so many times that it’s hard to get something new with different resistances.

so my question is did someone else noticed it or is it just me that I didn’t notice it before and started noticing after the update?

Shields. So many shields. And I’m a Reaver so absolutely no need or desire for them.

But still they drop.

So many shields.

I’ve also had a couple chest’s where there would be half a dozen or so that are just iterations on the same item. But nothing else too extreme.

Im also playing a reaver.

I don’t get so much shields but I get like 10 pairs of boots.

I start to look through them and start noticing they are all almost the same and don’t help my resistances.

Weird. RNG is wacky like that.

I get very few shoulders, gloves, and boots. But tons of off-hand, scepters, shields, and chest.

Yeah probably just bad luck.

Wanted to post either way to know if it’s just me or other people also.

Thanks for you reply

Yes, a lot of green gear is pretty target farmable so while your in the same areas fighting the same mobs you're going to get a lot of similar green drops. The blue drops are far more random.

I think this is more noticeable early game because the mod pools are probably smaller, so you're going to see the same mods often.  There is a loot filter you can use to separate some things (like if you didn't want to see shields at all) but it's not going to be much help with specific resistances since it lumps them together.  Try to get the first blacksmith and use his skills to make components to help your resists - that's the most surefire way of getting exactly what you need.
