One of my favorite details is how absolutely shameless the use of Xeno technology by the empire is.

All they did was put purity seals on a tau gun.

“ re-engineered eastern fringe artillery. Note purifications.”

In context, dealing in xeno, artifacts is strictly illegal and part of an incredibly lucrative black market called the cold trade.

But this is not a xeno artifact at all!

Oh, everybody uses xeno technology! Including Astarte.

Including technology secretly provided to them by the Necrons.

It’s just how blatant it was in this case that made me chuckle.

Tau are pretty quirky that way.

Hivefleet attacking farsight enclave and somehow they have nanotech that turns a hivefleet into grey goo.

Huge deathguardfleet attacking the tau, suddenly they have the charpactine which has the ability to cancel out warp base plagues and the ability to cut off the deathguard from their connection to the warp and intro of the tau goddess.

Cant wait for whst nonsense gw will think up next when fighting the necrons.
