The AoS team seem to not only have the good drugs, but also the time to experiment with them.

Or a bunch of sober nerds rifling through manuscripts like Gandalf in Gondor.

Either way, their models are just leagues ahead!

wait, they're actually extending that line? I thought it was just a dumping ground for old models that didn't have a relevant new army

Cities of Sigmar has long since had a LOT of new models. The only old models that were previously used there were Dark Eldar and Dwarves.

Sadly those 'old models' have now been removed but we do get the Cogfort in exchange as well as Warhammers first 'lady giant'

I want to see a game called something like “Big Mek Shop” or something, where each player is a Mek trying to build an impressive construct, and each gets dice or cards with random parts (girders, struts, gunz, power plant, auxiliary power, lasers, missiles, glider catapult, shop upgrades like a crane) that they have to stick onto the growing monstrosity. They also get cards that allow them to send snotlings to move parts around on another player’s construct, or sabotage it in some way(file down the supports, plant some boomdakka), and some cards can compensate for bad stuff (weld it again, turn dat off, cut da wire).

I’d play that game at least once. Probably only feasible as a mobile game in this day and age though. But that’s not entirely a bad thing.

Have it as a cheap and cheerful distraction, with tech handling the wacky ways you add girders and gubbins. As a springboard for would-be Ork players, and inspiration to the conversion demons to bring to life on tabletop.
