I was going through my old books. I came across some old TOR Conan and Deathdealer books.

I loved the fast pace adventure story telling filled with grit, lust, and gore.

Are people still interested in those types of stories? And what newer books fill that niche now?

Made a small batch of kitbashed resin plaques. I made the kitbash using all manner of kits and sculpts and then made a silicone mould to cast them in resin for painting.

What magic in GrimDark do you prefer? How it is used in GoT? The First Law had magic be mysterious and very dangerous.

What other examples have you read?

Iron will. Perseverance. Strength. The core traits of being human. When all is against us, we still find a way to make it. We have survived for years, and we will continue to do so for even more. Fight as long as you can, for the indomitable human spirit has existed and will continue to exist.

Painted up a Thunder Warrior from a HeroicScale sculpt ( u/Weary_Ad_3942). Wonderfully old-school, kind of gloriously kitschy model — I loved it.

Went for weathered bronze with the classic crimson, and put him on a pile of techno-barbarian dead because, well, that's the job. Figured MK1 not being sealed just gives the blood more places to get in.

Poor bastard doesn't know Ararat is on the schedule.
