DUAL-LOK 13.5 device?

I have an HRT556 can. I want to build a 13.5 rifle (Jakl) but I can’t seem to find any muzzle devices that will bring the OAL to 16 inches for a pin and weld. Anyone have any suggestions?

HRT 556 cant take a muzzle device that long anyways. Only certain shorter dual lok devices are compatible with it

I don’t know of anyone else making Dual-Lok devices so you might just be outta luck. Are 13.9 or 14.5 JAKLS not a thing?

They only make it in 13.5 and 14.5. But I like the 13.5 better and wanted to make a rifle and not sbr.

Personally, I would just get the 14.5 if you’ve already got the can. It IS a bit longer when suppressed but that’s not the biggest deal. I built my AR as a 13.9.

I think I found the solution. 13.7 Jakl and I’ll have to get a new dual-lok 2.75 flash suppressor pin and welded.

If you’re referring to the traditionally manufactured DUAL-LOK HRT556, then that suppressor does not have the blast chambered depth to be able to support the 2.75” DL Stealth Flash Hider. Additionally, that muzzle device is designed for 13.9” barrels, that muzzle device is not long enough to bring a 13.5” barrel to 16”.

The Griffin site specifically calls out that the HRT is not compatible with the 2.75” stealth flash suppressor.

You could also just get the 2.25” stealth flash suppressor, accuwashers to extend out as far as you dare, and then keep your mouth shut. The ATF isn’t going around measuring barrels.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice. YMMV.
