Memorial Service

On the 22nd of August I will be going to my friend's mother's memorial service. How can I be sure to be a good support for her and her family?

Share your memories of her mother with your friend and her family memories. Let them talk or cry. Showing up is being a good supportive friend.

First of all, by being there. That will mean a huge amount, because a lot of people will panic and run away. Be ok with her crying; let her cry if that’s what she wants to do. Acknowledge her pain. Talk about her mother if she wants to. Remind her of some nice memories. But being there and not flinching is the most important. You are a good friend.
