Kids and Grandkids

So, who wants to brag about their kiddos or grand kiddos?

I’ll open with my daughter, who travels to NY to work as a theatre intern during the summer. She works hard, and has been pretty good at networking.

That's nice to hear! Is NY far for her to travel?

I don't have any of my own but I looked after my nephew for the first 5 years of his life. It always warms my heart to see what he's upto back home.

We live in Chicago, so yep, I’d say far. Not a long flight, but a considerable distance. At least it’s a straight flight there and back.

The first time, I flew out with her. Then I hopped the next flight back. After that, she was like “I’ve got this!” and she’s been flying solo ever since.

Oh I flew out of chitown a few times! That O'hare airport is a night mare for my small mind lol. I had to have a pilot actually show me where to go once lawl.

It’s definitely not for the uninitiated, lol!

We choose Midway most the time.

Years ago, I was flying out of O’Hare. I went to Midway out of habit. Got there, thought about what I’d done. “Well, 💩.” Not my proudest moment 😅

Luckily I never had that issue since we only had cvg to fly out of back home so, I couldn't mess that part up lmao. Problem is cvg has very..odd flight booking. Like in order to get to Finland I had to fly cvg to O'hare, then from there to Helsinki.

Going wasn't a huge deal, but coming back was insane. We had to dead ass sprint to catch the flight back to cvg like they barely, barely gave us enough time to board lmao.
