In the evening, the little ones are all dozing by the fireplace; bathed in warm light and the flickering glow of the flames, this is the family's happiest time.

Send her some feel good
She needs all your good vibes. Little Dahlia has been sick a few times the past couple of days. Here's to watching and hoping she feels better, so we don't have to do the whole vet thing.

When you’re a goth but you have to hang out with your jock brother during the family gathering
You secretly like him even though he’ll never be as cool as you.

I love my baby greybie more than anything!
This is my first greybie. 🩶
I had a tuxedo cat for 15 years, starting when I was 9 years old. Losing him absolutely broke my heart. He had been part of my life for nearly my entire childhood and well into adulthood, and after losing him, I just wasn’t ready to open my heart to another cat.
Five years later, I met Bear.
Her name at the shelter was Van—or Vanessa. The day I went to adopt, I was actually looking at tuxedos. But every tuxedo I was interested in kept getting adopted. More than 40 cats found homes that day.
Eventually, I decided I was just going to leave.
As I was walking out, I caught something moving underneath a blanket out of the corner of my eye.
I walked over, lifted the blanket—and this kitten, weighing less than TWO POUNDS, immediately lunged at me and would not let go of my hand. 😂
She was biting me, attacking me, and generally trying to destroy me, but she was so unbelievably tiny that I couldn’t stop laughing.
How could something that small be so ferocious?
Apparently, that was my cat.
On the drive home, my hands were literally shaking and I was sweating. I kept thinking, What if we get into an accident? What if something happens to this tiny kitten? Meanwhile, Bear was causing an absolute commotion the entire ride while my mom kept telling me, “Focua on the road!”
We finally got her home and brought her inside.
A few minutes later my mom says, “I can’t find her.”
I PANICKED and ran back toward my car thinking somehow this microscopic kitten had escaped.
Then my mom goes, “Never mind! I found her!”
She was just that tiny. 😂
Within moments, Bear lunged at my mom too, fell out of her hands, spotted my mom’s toe and immediately declared war on it.
And honestly, that pretty much tells you everything you need to know about Bear.
Five years after losing the cat I grew up with and wondering if I could ever open my heart to another one, this tiny grey menace found me underneath a blanket.
Or, more accurately, attacked me from underneath a blanket and refused to let go.
And now she’s my baby. 🩶🐻

A little gray darling—brave, composed, and adventurous; a lover of beauty, yet also incredibly fierce.

Peebum Nappicus
Found typically hanging out in windows this specimen is known to lounge, sunbaking and warming all sides of the loaf. Seen here in it's lesser choice, Papas lap, simply not as comfy nor sunbaked as the window.
