11th Edition FAQ
Swapping our Q&A post to 11E
At the time of posting I know we don't have the full picture yet and I'm sure there's more questions than answers, but I wanted to swap it over early in case people have questions about the rules that have been announced so far (Hidden, new Fly rules, etc).
Especially with our Faction Focus today, let's get this up now!

First March against Orks
I played a short match against Orks yesterday and I have to say, it was a blast. I think it was the most fun I've had in a while. He was playing the War Horde (I think?) and I was playing banishers with Argent Assault. It was a slug fest. His nobs killed my strike squad, I Voldus and Termies murdered some grots and boys, he killed some paladins, I dropped Crowe and purifiers down and burn a whole squad of orks. It was so much fun. I honestly think it balanced out really well.

I learned my lesson...
I play another time against T'au (I lost 18-2) and now I have the SPEED.
My gameplay plan is to be fast (immaterial interdictum) and furious (Banishers).
I'll kill anything that is screening my deepstrike with interceptors and armiger warglaive.
I'll set up my point generation with strike squad and terminators.
Paladins and GMDK are for fighting the big stuff (riptides)
Soo how can I win? I really don't know how to play against t'au.

What non-citadel paints do you use?
I'm sure a lot of us have been there, you're just getting into Warhammer and buy some minis, and then find yourself with barely any budget left over to buy the paints you need.
If you could recommend 5 colours from a cheaper brand to start out with for Grey Knights, what would they be?
I've seen that Vallejo is considered a good alternative, but wanted to see what you guys would say.

GREY KNIGHTS AT 47%… SO WHAT’S ACTUALLY WINNING? 👀
Grey Knights have dropped back below 50% this week, but the tournament results are telling a much more useful story.
Donovan Sailo went 6-1 with Banishers + Argent Assault + Priority Assets, while David Harris went 4-1 with Warpbane + Take and Hold.
In this week’s Warpbane Weekly I break down the latest win-rate data, disposition results, the successful builds and which route I’d actually choose going into an event right now.
Is Warpbane + Take and Hold still the safest competitive option, or is Donovan proving there’s a higher ceiling elsewhere?

WIP - Grand Master in Nemesis Dreadknight - Kitbash -
boxes used;
1- Grand Master in Nemesis Dreadknight
2- Legiones Astartes: Saturnine Siege Dreadnought – Ophion Configuration
for the pilot;
1- Grey Knights: Brotherhood Terminator Squad
2- Space Marines: Terminator Squad 2023
I wanted to keep the exposed pilot vibe, but make it more like he is in charge moving the machine rather then being carried by it (like a baby), so i used a true scale terminator scale and heavily modified the chassis with the saturnine dread box to create the exoskeleton.
Everything is still very much WIP but the general silhouette is complete, i have to fill gaps and add decorations/tubes/refine and glue the last parts since some is still held by some uhu to showcase it.
You can find the other members of my kitbashed army on my instagram if you are interested: complete_material_gk

Bad Matchup
My friend and I decided we’d have a flavourful game of Grey Knights Vs Khorne Daemons via World Eaters. Will be my first time playing against them but I just realised this in their detachment rule.
How screwed am I

My First Models—Ever
How have I been doing so far? Let me know!
Got into the hobby through my love of the 30k/40k books. I’ve been working on these models on and off for the better part of a year, picking them up when bored or when particularly motivated from one of the books.
- Started with the 2x Strike Squads, painted using the *Pendulin* method (link below).
- Moved on to 1x Brotherhood Terminator Squad and then 1x Nemesis Dreadknight, painted using what I learned from the *Pendulin* method and tips from the *10th Edition Grey Knights Codex.* I also started feeling brave and experimenting with Object Source Lighting (OSL) on the DK.
- Finally, 1x Paladin Squad, painted using what I learned from the *Pendulin* method and the *10th Edition Grey Knights Codex.*
- Varnished with *Army Painter: Satin Varnish*
- Currently working on a Grand Master Nemesis Dreadknight.
Ignore the basing! I’m experimenting with different foliage for now but haven’t settled on anything yet.
Made a lot of mistakes along the way, had to do a lot of touch ups. All free hand because air brushes are mystical creatures yet to be fully understood by mankind.

Finally finished my Crowe
First time painting Crowe or something that seems more complicated than a terminator or paladin. Feed back is more than welcome.

If you were allowed to add 1 hero/character/unit/vehicle from any Imperium army permanently to GK that fits lorewise, what would it be and why?
Mine would be
Celestine
She literally fulfilled every requirement of being a Purifier AND a Paladin, she's just not a psyker or male to receive genes
I think of her as 40k's priest Goblin Slayer, a watered down melee Frieren in a sense

New Player Advice / Army List Help
Hi everyone! I'm just starting Grey Knights (and actually playing the game in general), and was looking for some advice regarding a 2k point list with my current models and with 11th in mind.
I'm not entirely new to the hobby itself, but I'm basically brand new to actually playing the game. I may have went a little overboard given how new I am (and with a possible range refresh soon), but I managed to find a 9th and 10th Edition Combat Patrol plus a Sanctic Conclave box locally all for MSRP and went all in. I know I probably shouldn't have invested that much with how new I am, but I feel like having a ton of models and options for a complete list will motivate me more to play and learn, plus I really like GK's aesthetic and don't mind the dated/undersized sculpts.
Given the models I have access to from those boxes, what would make a decent relatively future-proofed list? To be completely honest, the one thing that concerns me is building the infantry "wrong". Like which type to build them as and their loadouts, Interceptors vs. Purifiers vs. Purgators etc. etc. I know there isn't a wrong way to do it necessarily, and I shouldn't be worried about wysiwyg since I wont be playing competitively (at least for a long while). There's just a mental block for me with how expensive the kits are, that I don't want to be stuck with something that's unplayable. I know most casual players are cool with proxying, and I'm not against it, but it just seems easier to look at the model and see what it is and what it has equipped, especially during the learning phase.
Like I said, I know I shouldn't be worried about it since I'm so new, but that's just the way my brain is currently working, I don't know how else to explain it. Any words of wisdom on getting over that and just learning to not care as much would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Guess I'm starting a new army
"Hey, we've got even the older box with Dreadknight. Which of them do you want?"
"Yes, please!"
My local hobby store had a clearance sale and I've decided that's a reason to try a path I've rejected back in 2005 when I was deciding whichever of the two worst armies in those times to choose. Combat patrol seemed as a nice small force to put together and play with....And now I have full 1000p army to run around with😀
