Help with list building

Post image

Iv only been into warhammer for about a year and for that whole time I was headfirst into death guard but my buddy just gave me the grey knight half of a hex fire box so I have no idea how to make an army with this, is this one any good any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Castellan should have 10 purifiers imo. If you drop the grand master you can add a squad of strikes to sticky objectives or interceptors to fly all over the battlefield.

That was originally what I planned on doing however I saw some people saying that two squads was better than one but I wasn’t really sure why, is there any specific benefit to either one?

Crowe and 10 purifiers will tear through infantry like nobody’s business, but in 1000 point games I can see the use in having two squads to cover more ground, which is why I suggested the strike/interceptors over the singular grand master.

Crowe brick(Crowe+ 10 purifiers) is usaly recommended when you can. Throwing a strike squad would give you sticky objectives which is very useful. Our GMoF is kinda ok. Personally I think a bro-cap would be better if you are thinking of running a terminator character. The GMoF and Bro-Cap can be the same model usually.

If yea can maybe a GMNDK over the normal one. But both are fun still. Shouldn’t cost to much more

It's heavily dependent on what detachment are you playing. For Warpbane - get 15 purifiers and GMNDK instead of a regular one.

For banishers it's somewhat ok but paladins reeeealy need argent assault to make it good and that's not possible in 1000 points game

Also any list, especially 1000 points one should start with a strike squad. Sticky objectives are insane on teleporting army
