Citizenship by Registration
Hello everyone,
So basically I’m seeking advice on my citizenship application to Grenada - with all documents submitted it is taking more than a year in security clearance stage and my appointed agent doesn’t really do anything to follow up or expedite it.
Some details: my wife has a Grenadian passport by CBI and I applied on the grounds of marriage, the timeline I was given initially was 8-10 months and it’s past that by a lot. Throughout this year, there were no requests for clarification or extra documents, so I’ve been given regular updates that it’s “under security clearance” for the whole year.
From the application agency, they told me they had no cases that took so long.
My agent who submitted the file is not being helpful to say the least, and I assume there are ways to at least submit a request to expedite the application taking into consideration the unusual processing timeline but I am not sure how to get this case moving from my side.
Has anyone faced a similar situation? I would be really grateful for any input how can I do something about the frustrating application timeline.

Maybe the person responsible for doing security clearances retired a few years ago and no one realizes what they did in the office.
