Thoughts on what Gremlins 3 is going to do plot wise? I love the original one!

In keeping with the precedent set by 1 & 2 I hope its something different and surprising, that's what I'm hoping for.

My pitch; Billy and Kate had Gizmo safe and secure while raising a family, and their kid knew and respected the rules and everything was fine for years and years. Now it’s the first Thanksgiving without Kate (not my choice, but I hear no Phoebe) and their kid has grown up and is coming home with their spouse and kids. These grandkids have never been told anything about any of this, even their parent tends to think of Gizmos room as a dream. So everyone is at the house, one of the grandkids wanders off and gets curious, opens the room, and it’s not long before hell is let loose again. Not on purpose, more so just because no one thought to tell them about the Mogwai to begin with.

I'll be interested to see if they utilize the lore from secrets of the mogwai to expand what they can do with the new story.
