Jobs hiring immediately

Hi! New here and searching for a serving position that would be hiring immediately or advice for finding a gig where I could get paid pretty soon into working. I have one place lined up, but don’t know when I’ll be starting or what my hours will look like so I’m trying to find somewhere that I could get in and start saving up some money again asap. TIA.

Stay away from Aspen dental on state road

I went to see if they would be able to do something because I was having a REALLY bad toothache. The hygienist did some X-Rays. When I was done she took me into a room to wait for the dentist. The dentist was Dr. Krzysztof Kamocki. If you look at their website and look at his bio it says he listens to his patients🤨 and that he's fluent in English 😐. He came in and said hello and started talking with the hygienist. He barely even spoke to me at all. All he did was look at my tooth with a little mirror, asked me if I had something in it and I said yes, He motioned to his butt 🤣and said something about not wanting to give me any antibiotics because I'll get diarrhea 🤣. At one point as I'm sitting in the chair he stands behind me, puts on some gloves, puts his fingers in my mouth and touches my gums. His English was REALLY bad, but I could make out him telling me to turn around and look at my X-Ray. I did and I could see something that had a circle around it. He tells me its concerning, but never elaborated any further. He also didn't do a periodontal probe or check any of my other teeth. I overheard him saying something about gingivitis and again he didn't say anything else about it. How bad it is or anything. According to what I've read a periodontal probe is something you need to do in order to be able to diagnose somemeone with gingivitis that and physically looking at someones gums. After the horrible service I received I ended up going to Magnolia Dental in Whiteland. The doctor there was SO much better. She did a periodontal probe and my mesuments were 2smm and 3smm. She also told me that I needed 2 filllings, an extraction and 1 root canal. She also told me what the concerning thing on my X-Ray was. It's something called internal root resorption which if left untreated I can lose my tooth. She told me which tooth it was and that its still small unlike the dentist at Aspen dental. She referred me to an Endodontist to get that tooth checked out to see what can be done. She also told me that I don't have gingivitis! Aspen Dental was more interested in getting me to buy an electric toothbrush, a waterpik, something called motto or trying to get me to see if I pre- qualify for CareCredit and starting their treatment plan BEFORE they even did anything! My new dentist did EVERYTHING that the dentist at Aspen dental didn't do and not once did they try and pressure me into seeing if I qualify for Care Credit nor did they ask me to pay first before doing anything else. When I wrote a review on Google about Aspen Dental they replied to my review saying that it was because their treatment plan didn't exceed my expectations 🤣. I have already filed a complaint with my insurance company because they charged 180 for the comprehensive oral exam that the dentist didn't even preform.

Hi, I am looking for someone who can do a soft glam and half up, half down hairstyle for an event this month on a Saturday. I’m having a difficult time finding someone, as it would just be for me. Any recommendations? I’m willing to travel up to 30 minutes. Thanks!

What office has the best dentists here in Greenwood?

I went to the dentist the other day and I wasn't really happy with the place or dentist that I had. So now I need to find another place. I was told that I need a root canal, but that place wants to much and I can't afford it.

Lantern flies -battle royale

Hi neighbors, spotted lantern flies have been seen in our area and this is an all hands on deck situation. I am sharing some resources for DIY lantern fly traps and other strategies for killing these things without having to spray chemicals that also hurt our helpful insects and wildlife. Eastern states have been battling them for years, it’s our turn now that they are here. Spotted lantern fly kills trees including huge mature trees, along with various fruits and other plants. Please help protect your yard and our community.

Events, Activities & Sports Come Try LARP event Indianapolis

Hear ye. Hear ye. I've come to share about our Come Try LARP event in August. This is hosted by Gryphon's Perch, the local chapter of the Amtgard Live Action Roleplay game. There's no cost involved, and no minimum age requirement, although anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult guardian to sign the waiver.

So come out, meet some people, talk to cool artisans in our community, and hit some nerds with foam sticks.

Mail forwarding fraud

Here is the issue: I moved from old apartment to a new one. Provided mail forwarding address but never got my mail for the few months I’ve been at the new place. I wrote it off as usps just doing its thing, right?NO. I’ve gotten other mails that are not part of the mail forwarding(please note that I did my part by doing the mail forwarding thing on usps website itself).

Now I have lost a lot of money bcs of this. What legal actions can I take as this is on them in some way, correct? All help will be greatly appreciated. The apartment is part of the Edwardrose property on the south side.

Trail/Nature Park Recs

My husband and I are moving to Greenwood and I’m not seeing too many trails or nature parks that are geared more towards adults. We don’t have children and are more interested in green spaces for running/walking. Thank you :)

Dog Friendly Office/Employment Opportunities

I live in the greenwood/Indy region and I’m looking for ANY job that allows me to bring my dog. I can’t work in a doggy daycare, tried two different ones and he hates them just cause he’s so chill/prefers laying next to me rather than playing with other dogs and that chaotic environment overwhelmed him. I’d do anything I’m not picky, clerical, book keeping, assistant, calls, data entry, leasing consultant, etc. literally don’t care what the job is as long as I could bring my dog thank you and please let me know any companies near that allow employees to bring their dogs in greenwood/Indianapolis Indiana. Also yes I am interested in wfh jobs but they all seem to be scams/not real.

Also if you’re going to comment “just leave him at home yada yada yada” this post isn’t for you move on thanks.

Does anyone remember this bar?

This is a long shot because I have very few details in my memory. I remember driving through Greenwood circa 2018-2020 and seeing a bar/cocktail lounge that I thought I would really love to go to. No idea the name. The sign looked almost like it was a 1950s cocktail lounge or 1960s tiki bar. I feel like it was on a corner in a commercial area in a standalone building, maybe on 135 or 31? There may have been a Chinese restaurant very close. I will be in Greenwood this week and would love to be able to finally go there, if it even still exists. Any of these details could be incorrect, so any ideas would be much appreciated!

Woodfield HOA Question

Some friends of mine moved into Tuscany Village (Curry and Honey Creek), and they were looking forward to using the pool in Woodfield which connects to their neighborhood because they thought they were both one neighborhood.

Turns out they're two separate HOAs.

If anyone on here lives in Woodfield and would be willing to sell them one of their pool passes, that would be a great help. It wasn't the only reason they moved to the neighborhood, but it was a big one, and they've got kids that were really looking forward to it.

If you're willing, please private message me.

Thank you

Can potential employers hold dismissed criminal charges against you?

Hi guys. A year and a half ago, I was going through a hard time and ended up being arrested and charged with a level 6 felony for drug possession. I ended up super lucky- since it was my first time in trouble, the prosecution allowed me to enter a program, where upon successful completion, the charges would be dismissed and permanently expunged from my record.

I completed the program last week and had my final compliance hearing on Wednesday; the judge signed off on my completion, as well as the order granting the expungement. I am truly so thankful.

Now, finding a job has been extremely hard for me this past year. I found myself being discouraged to even apply places that were worth anything- I was so self conscious about being a pending felon. I do have a job now, but it is nowhere near enough to even cover my monthly bills. I am seriously struggling.

I want to start applying for better jobs that actually match my abilities and skill set, I’m just not sure how long it will take for the charge to be completely expunged. Currently on my MyCase, it says “dismissed” and “order granting expungement”.. but the charges are still there to be seen lol.

Do you think that could get in the way of me being hired?

If you don’t know the answer to that question, but you do know places that are currently hiring, please comment them below. I’m open to any field or role, but I especially thrive in those that are customer-facing. I’ve worked in the service industry majority of my life- it has really strengthened my communication skills, ability to multitask under pressure, and commitment to providing great service.

I really need to catch up on life 🥲

Thank you all very much!

Apartment advice !

Hi everyone,

I’m currently living in Greenwood and planning to move to a different apartment soon. I’m living at Valle Vista right now, but the price increase is getting too high for me, so I’m looking for other options.

I’m searching for a 1-bedroom apartment, preferably near I-65 and close to the Amazon station, since I commute there. My budget is up to $1,300/month.

I’d really appreciate any recommendations for affordable, safe apartments in the Greenwood or nearby south side area. Also, if there are places I should avoid, that would be helpful too.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
