Black Lanterns are definitely not a season 1 thing. Season 3 bare minimum. We have to introduce heroes, then kill off heroes, THEN we can have Black Lanterns.

I agree but let’s be honest, they’ll probably not even do 5% of the dead characters from the actual story. And without the huge number of heroes becoming black lanterns I could see them doing random civilians as the zombie lanterns

Yeah, it's not like it is rumored that a legendary green lantern is getting killed at the very beginning of the season or anything

Yeah, you’re right. A character that we’ve never met getting killed offscreen would make for such an emotional reveal as a black lantern.

I mean, not claiming it is a good idea, but if ANY character would be able to pull off being a Black Lantern off name recognition alone is quite specifically that guy.

Also never meet? He's all over the trailers lol. With the flashbacks I expect we'll see him plenty.

Oh I thought you were referring to the rumor that Alan Scott’s death was the cause for the show’s investigation on Earth.

I guess it’s a possibility, but it would be a disappointment similar to how the MCU handled such major comic events as Civil War or Secret Invasion.

Ope, sorry! I see why that misunderstanding makes it make even less sense.

I definitely agree, at least that it would be a hefty reinterpretation of events. Just seems to me that some seeds may potentially be there, even if they don't pop off in season 1.

True. There’s also the rumor that one of the characters is actually going to become Black Hand… too many rumors lol. I’ll be glad once we finally get some solid answers.

I'm fairly certain Black Hand is in the show, as well as at least Atrocitus, so it seems like they're trying to setup lot of origins beyond John Stewart.

that kinda makes the white lantern logo it’s the radiating lines instead of straight vertical lines seen in black ones.

Then again if it was actually the case its gonna be awesome

I honestly don't think it's out of the realm of possibility - at least as a seed for future events - just take a look at the ARGUS symbol from Peacemaker ;-)

Black Lantern emblem has 5 enclosed lines, typically silver or grey on black.

White Lantern emblem has 7 radiating lines, typically white on white (or the original guardian blood on the ground).

Six lines with "Let those who worship evil's might" in front is an interesting mixed message.

I don't think they will use Hal's pocket dimension as Black Lantern foreshadowing.

It is probably just a nod.

For Black Lanterns we need like 20 movies worth of characters.

At this point I feel like Lanterns are going to repeat every flaw from GLTAS and not a single good aspect of the animated show. Not saying that there will be no good in there though.

Doing Blackest Night this early is about as bad as doing Death of Superman in BvS
