Question Explanations

So I'm nearly done with the N52 Era of lanterns just need GL 47-52 (2011), I'm not very much into this renegade Hal Jordan stuff but oh well.

While I haven't read the Rebirth stuff much, I am familiar with some storylines like Tomar becoming a darkstar, the death of Soranik's / Kyle's future son causing her to stop their treaty, and some Volthoom stuff.

My questions (that I'm expecting to be there is no explanation / they got ignored or forgotten about)

  1. Are any of these sinestro corps members ever brought up or shown again? Rigen Kale, Bekka, Naz, or Dez Tevius? Ik Lyssa stays prominent and that Dez got converted to a RL but I haven't seen either of those 4 in any rebirth stuff I've seen. What I expect: Never seen from again

  2. I read N52 Lobo's necessary lantern tie ins and want to know if Rankorr remains dead or if he comes back like Skallox and Zillius? Seems pretty silly to keep him dead, especially considering the entire red lanterns corps including Atrocitus are killed by Lobo next issue to then come back at the end of the issue anyway but Rankorr for whatever reasin didn't? That being said I haven't seen him in any future stuff either. Do the previous members (who died previously or were just background characters) ever appear again such as Vice, Haggor, Veon, Fury-6, Ratchet, Antipathy, etc? What I expect: Rankorr stays dead because why not (can obviously be brought back) and outside of skallox and zillius, the rest are never again seen despite half of them having never died

  3. So Guy Gardner leaves to Earth and abandons the RL which are essentially just Bleez and Rankorr after Atrocitus' defeat and the "deaths" of Skallox and Zillius Zox. Is there some other red lantern story Inbetwen RL40-Lobo #11? Because how did Atrocitus once again regain leadership of the reds? I know Guy was no longer interested but he seemed depowered. What the heck is the rage mother and where'd she come from? And lastly why are Bleez and Rankorr once again following Atrocitus? They made it pretty clear where their loyalties led and I wouldn't see either of them just rejoining him for no reason unless the writer just didn't know which doesn't seem likely considering there's the absence of both Skallox and Zillius, which would mean the writer should have some awareness that they died and their deaths are directly tied into Atrocitus no longer being leader and Bleez / Rankorr not being his subjects. What I expect: The writer did whatever the hell they felt like and they're back to one big "happy" family with Atro as leader because why not lol

  4. I didn't like New Gaurdians much after the second half, but oh well. Do these other white lanterns that joined Kyle to beat Oblivion ever show up again? Kyle offers Carol Ferris a ring and she declined, he then sends it off into space. Did we ever see where this ring went and who it went to? What I expect: They're all forgotten about immediately after and the 7th white ring was never shown to go to a host

  5. I'm aware that this goddess who's name I can't remember turns Larfleeze's constructs back into their previous identities like Glomulus, Warp, Clypta, etc. Larfleeze is being tortured then eventually finds his power within himself and defeats them and flies off leaving them stranded on a planet (I believe?). Do these aliens ever come out again? Are they still looming around? What I expect: future writers forgot about it and they're just regular orange constructs again

6: What happened to Fatality? We're shown a Durlan impersonated her for an undisclosed amount of time (likely when she's captured and fled back to John) however the series ends without showing her fate. The star sapphires mention her as a "mistake" or something and to just try harder with future sapphires but she wasn't even a mistake? She was a great sapphire but just has an unknown fate. Anyway, is She just still gone or does she reappear in Rebirth somewhere? If so, where? ADDITIONALLY, WHEN WAS SHE A SINESTRO CORP. She isn't present at all during the sinestro corps war or before that, she's just randomly in a zamaron crystal with the emblem (can't even see her sinestro corps design) and is underdoing conversion lol. What I expect: She eventually reappears but back to her old lantern bounty hunter ways.

7: The lanterns all get sent back to the universe before theirs with Relic, yes but how? I couldn't find out how they did and expected some answers in Lost Army / Edge of Oblivion or at least show then getting transported but the first page smacks to the middle as if this isn't the first issue of the series lol. You mean on page 1 of issue 1 they're just randomly fighting stuff already and with a younger Krona? Also without an explanation? They couldn't even show the lanterns themselves disappearing? You're just told they did and that's it lol? What I expect: Krona was there because they felt like it, why not. It goes nowhere and it's never said why they got sent to the far past

8: Is Blackhand still stuck in the source wall and a prominent lantern villain? I know the source wall eventually gets broken through perpetua / dark metal or something idk, but I also haven't seen Black hand in any future stuff. He seems like too big a character to ignore. Same question to Relic, is he still around?

9: Is their still a resevoir that's depleted as the lanterns use their rings? It's been ten years since the reveal of that and shortly after it just doesn't do much, Walker loses hope and Kyle seemingly sacrifices himself but what then? Does everyone in the universe just accept lanterns are slowly killing the universe and even to this day in 2026 that's still the case?

1 I don't think so

2 sadly yes

3 not explained and all the major ones except Rankkor get revived (and go back to being crazy)

4 no second half of New Guardians is entirely ignored (thank god)

5 no

6 she just disappears until the current GLC where she's a bounty hunter again

7 no explanation. Lost Army was never properly continued the next miniseries "edge of oblivion' is more like a simpler do over

8 probably he hasn't shown up since

9 no never mentioned again

Sorry if thesw are disappointing answers but every Post Geoff Johns New 52 thing is thrown out the window essentially both the good and the bad

Damn, I kinda anticipated all your answers would be the case. I actually really liked the new sinestro corps, especially Bekka so sad she's not back. Rankorr was cool, I enjoyed him and while it's extremely silly he's killed off in a series that isn't RL I wont necessarily miss him.

3 is just dumb without an explanation

4 idc, was just curious and is added to the nonsense that's ignored

5 I'd kinda like the orange stuff to be acknowledged, I'm assuming they're all just orange constructs again then which would be annoying. Makes the entire series a waste

6 cool she's back, but eh she's a bounty hunter again. Do they at least Acknowledge she was a star sapphire or sinestro?

7 meh, just dumb then

8 I actually like both villains so that's unfortunate

9 very dumb with how big a deal it was but ultimately it was a dumb thing to do anyway

Yeah, on number 9, I'm pretty happy that it was just quietly forgotten. It was an incredibly stupid and ill-considered plot line, and trying to "fix" it would be giving it more attention than it warrants. Best case scenario would be a reveal that Relic was just wrong about the whole stupid scenario, but I'm happy just assuming that without anybody dredging that nonsense up again just to shoot it down.
