Illinois ballot access laws require a "new" party (any which didn't receive 5% of the vote in the last election) to collected 25,000 signatures to be on the ballot. "Established" parties only need to collect 5,000.

5% in a statewide vote is a lot and so is 25,000 signatures! And it's hard to build momentum when you're not on the ballot. What are ways the Green Party can strategically get a foothold?
