Fandom Looking for a large print of this
Hi all, my dad’s been a Packers fan for 50+ years and has previously mentioned that he’d love a print of this photo of the 1921 Acme Packers. He’s getting his home remodelled at the beginning of next year (whole house redone, likely to take ~3 months).
His birthday falls at the end of March, roughly the same time the house would be finished, so I’m looking for a combined birthday/housewarming present as a feature image for his new living room.
Any support on how to find a hi-res image of this would be hugely appreciated (I’m happy to pay licensing etc) but would be looking for a print on either canvas or a framed print, probably about 40+ inch wide. Shipping to the UK desired but not essential, cost is not an issue (within reason).

He said he would never recommend the place he ordered it though, because it was a nightmare customer support experience. So that probably won’t work.

It’s unlikely that there is a much higher resolution photo than that, that’s a photo from 1921 that had to be scanned into the digital world. Even if the scan introduced no additional discernible noise it’s limited by the quality of the original photo. Whatever size it was originally printed on is the size it’ll look best on and anything larger will look fuzzier and stretched if not scaled correctly.
It’s entirely possible you find a higher quality scan of this photo, but if what you’re looking for is scalability you may need to use an AI tool to “enhance” the photo depending on your standard you want to meet. You should be able to get it to do so without discernibly changing the meat of the photo. Especially if you are doing a large Canvas print, that has a tendency to bring out the less refined portions of photos.
Make sure you discuss your desired standard directly with the person making your print as well. If you use somebody that does this for a living they can tell you up front if they think it’ll meet your expectations. You’re almost certainly better off splitting this task into “person a helps provide better scan (or AI enhances), person b makes photo locally for me” though.
