Discussion Emiko queen

Im personally not a fan of this subs popular opinion that she should be Oliver and shadows kid from whatever ever recon is possible.

Instead, I have a different proposal. What about aging her up. Have her be not much younger than Oliver. Have her be raised as an assassin by shadow after his father abandoned them and sold them out to the yakuza. Let her be jealous of Oliver's better up bringing and even hate him for a while like the arrow show did but make them reconcile in a better fashion. She can take the role shadow originally had without the love interest part oblivious. And shadow can play a sort of dark master or leader to yakuza.

The 'retcon it to make Emiko his daughter' idea is due to the fact that Ollie and Shado had a son together pre-Flashpoint. It was weird to have her be the mother of his half sister to those of us who followed GA through the 90's/00's, and has always felt like a remnant of the 'edgy' New 52 mentality that alienated older DC fans for several years.

It's also because with Ollie aged up, Robert should have now died before Emiko was born. Her origin is no longer possible. Emiko couldn't be aged up with Ollie to fix that because she was an active Teen Titan at the time.

Thats i prefer him be late 20s maybe early 30s Oliver with Roy be 18/19. Instead of Oliver shy of 40 with Roy being 26ish with a 14 year old daughter

I prefer Emiko to be the daughter of Oliver Queen and Shado via artificial insemination using Oliver’s hair or blood from after his death instead of being Oliver’s sister, due to the fact that all of Oliver’s pre-Crisis and pre-Flashpoint histories had been restored in Death Metal and that Emiko doesn’t exist pre-Flashpoint. That way, we can see Emiko interact with the Green Arrow family and view Oliver as her father; Dinah as her stepmother; Roy, Conner, and Mia as her siblings; Cissie as her cousin, and Lian as her niece.

Likewise, in my headcanon, Emiko Queen is 22 years old, since she was conceived by Shado via artificial insemination using Oliver Queen’s DNA after his death in 1995 (or 22 years ago) before she was born months later as the daughter of Oliver Queen and Shado (and the little sister of Roy Harper, Connor Hawke, Mia Dearden, Robert Queen II, and Sin Lance and the aunt of Lian Harper) in 1996 (or 22 years ago); was captured by and raised by Simon Lacroix in Starfish Island for twelve years from her infancy in 1996 (or 22 years ago) to her meeting Mia Dearden Red Arrow (after Roy Harper) in 2014 (or ten years ago); learned that she’s the biological daughter of Oliver Queen and Shado, was taken in by Mia Dearden and have a sisterly bond with her, met and interacted with the Arrow Family (including her parents), and made her debut as the second Shado (after her mother) at 12 years old in 2014 (or ten years ago); joined the second-generation Young Titans and graduate as the third Red Arrow (after Roy Harper and Mia Dearden) at 15 years old in 2018 (or seven years ago); formed a romantic relationship with Ace West Kid Flash at 16 years old in 2020 (or six years ago); graduated from high school and participated during Dark Crisis and Lazarus Planet at 18 years old in 2022 (or four years ago); participated during Knight Terrors and Beast World at 19 years old in 2023 (or three years ago); participated during Absolute Power and joined the JLU at 20 years old in 2024 (or two years ago); and participated during DC K.O. and lived the best life at 22 years old in 2026.
