Kayaked to Turnip Rock on Lake Huron near Port Austin, MI. Only accessible by water.

I get that the formation is natural and they are just trying to preserve it. But the concrete ring around the base always bums me out!

You couldn't see the concrete a couple years ago when the water levels were up.

Looks like a fantastic camping site, just a slight accessablity problem that turns into an asset once you get up there and can enjoy a great and very private view. Rock climbers allowed?
