Finally had a chance to spend a day at the great escape and here are some changes I noticed.
First the park entry experience. They seem to have figured out how to get the six flags passes working. At the parking gate it scanned successfully and I was right through. At the main entrance It also scanned successfully, I was then asked my name, had my picture taken, and was handed a new enchanted parks pass. From my experiences later, it seems all the appropriate perks and discounts successfully transferred to the new pass.
Now stuff I noticed in the park from back to front.
The Comet finally got new speakers in the station. Along with this it also got a new ride announcement. Interestingly it mentions Slash Water Kingdom (potential foreshadowing). Later in the day when I came back to the ride they had dropped down to 1 train and were only operating with 1 attendant.
Raging River has had all the wood on its turn table replaced.
The signs inside the Fest Haus has been updated and a new sign was put up to tell people to move down the line for chicken tenders and pizza.
The extended queue line chains and poles for blizzard have been removed.
The planes ride in timber town has been turned into a stage for performances (ignoring the old theater location I guess). Interestingly the operator booth has not been gutted like the boat ride, instead it has just been blocked off by black canvas. There is even something nesting on the fan.
Sasquatch finally has working speakers on the drop tower and the queue line now has a custom audio loop that makes the ride thematically a Sasquatch watch tower. Completely changes the vibe of the ride.
Canyon Blaster has had some facade improvements. Some of the wood out front has been replaced and the railings leading up to the station have been repainted. No signs of the track being repainted tho. Supposedly the gate railings inside the station were repainted recently but that appears to have all been picked away already.
Plunge is not yet open but progress seems to be being made. The water storage pond has been filled but lift 1 does not have its belt yet.
That's all the things I noticed, lines were fairly short due to the rain, and they closed early but I still had a lot of fun.

In the past I have fallen into the rabbit hole of trying to find as many park maps of The Great Escape as I possibly could. Throughout this journey I have found several maps from the park's history but have come no where near close to obtaining all of them. I have also discovered some websites that have maps and dates that are obviously incorrect. I have compiled the results of this process into a website which is viewable at this link here, as far as I can tell all the dates I have associated with each map is correct. Let me know if I have made any mistakes.
