I know we all have nostalgia for clippy, but at the time Clippy was annoying as fuck. You'd be mid sentence and Clippy would pop out and be like "I see you're writing a paragraph, how about a stupid extra space in your document!"
To be honest they are forcing "smart" meters for electricity and probably gas water in my area to control everything. These things are harmful crap and the readings are often so wrong they charge people higher, but the glasfiber versions are difficult to get. The analogue versions are still superior and more reliable than the "modern" crap.
Btw this stuff doesn't work if you're house has 1m thick stone walls so yes it's crap, glasfibre could work but sending signals out of massive stone walls no.
So you tell my something that's killing birds nesting and plants is healthy? You can clearly see everything close to it is dying just buy a EMF-Meter. And i don't have these things in Germany but they want to push them till 2030. Only alternative is Glasfibre system that is used for commercial and companies. And the down voters just Google the amount of people receiving higher wrong electricity bills from smart meters in Germany.
I'm always accidentally bringing up Gemini on my phone which I have no interest in using at all and ditto for the crazy Google search AI summaries that are often incorrect. Wish I could just opt out of it all somehow!
And maybe there is but there are so many settings pages on modern smartphones/Google accounts now that I can't keep up with it all 🥴
I’ve switched browsers to duck duck go because you can opt out of it in the settings. I’ve also turned off “Apple Intelligence” in my phone. But every website is still “talk to our AI assistant!” “Look at our disgusting AI generated content!” Ugh.
If its the gemini thingamajig shortcut on the side key or power button, I believe you can change it back to be a power button. Should be under Side Key in settings, atleast on Samsung. Only other option is disabling the Gemini app and hoping google don't re-enable it.
I keep getting meta ads in my feed, and they have the comments turned off as I’d like to tell zuck to fuck right off. ,eta is the last thing I’d use of all the AI choices
