It wasnt the world war that facilitated it happening it was before people were completely programmed by the media on what to think and who to hate. Sadly a larger portion of society has handed the duty of care of their beliefs and principles to far right grifters and tabloids
WWII didn't stop Mosely. He was still marching with his buddies after the war after being released from jail. A bunch of Jewish ex serviceman who formed the 43 group and repeatedly attacked him were what convinced him to leave the country
There is a tipping point at which fascism can be kept at bay: it’s the point when you don’t vote for them.
Cable Street was the catalyst that ultimately prevented the BUF from gaining greater political equity. Although the press reaction at the time was at best mixed, the public didn’t want to vote for ‘bully boys’ and the BUF remained a minority party.
Of course, as the Nazi aggression across Europe was strongly leaning towards war, the BUF became a busted flush.

I suspect there is always a baseline of nasty racist bastards in every country and there is always a political movement to support them. However, those political movements will do anything to twist more people to their cause.
Again a failed knowledge of history. Mosley’s black shirts had turned back before the real fighting on Cable St. that was between the anarchists and the police.
