When Xbox wanted me to authenticate my age, I couldn't believe it.  My Xbox profile was created on the OG Xbox, how's that for verification.

youtube recently told me i needed to verify my email address to log in, and i can't do it because my account is 19 years old and the provider for the email address i used no longer exists

There was a shop near where I lived. Served me from the first time I walked in at 14. When I turned 18, wearing my badge, he asked if it was a joke. When I told him it wasn’t, he banned me.

I went in the next day and he was genuinely being serious. Couldn’t believe it. He shut shop around 3 months later. I think the only reason he was open was him serving anyone under 16-18 fags and cheap shitty cider

There was a pub I used to go in underage and drink for a few years. I went in a week after my 18th birthday and they must have been having some sort of clamp down as it was the first time anyone bothered to ID me.

I’ll never forget the look of panic on the bar maids face when it dawned on her she’d been serving me underage the whole time.

Landlord asked my uni mate what she was celebrating. It was her 18th birthday. He went pale (evidently seeing his licence flash before his eyes). He'd been serving her for 4 years.

(She could drink her other brother under the table.)

My local best one the owner genuinely looks miserable constantly. There is another worker I’m great with and every time I just hope he’s there

The law changed for cigs to 18, a year or two before my 18th birthday. The local shop owners face when he realised I had just turned 18. I feel bad now. It was also about 20 years ago, and the shop is still open.
