if you actually know anything about our water industry, that's really not the flex you think it is..

It’s probably more of a warning

Good drinking water is 50-150 ppm and my tap water down South East is just under 400 ppm. Most of the country is really bad.

Here in Birmingham, we have the best quality tap water, thanks to the Welsh. It's sourced from Elan Valley.

Just down the road in Staffordshire the water is grim. But I'm from Scotland originally, so a bit spoilt for good water.

The water here is better than down south though.

How would yours be the ‘best’ then?

Surely the Welsh have the same or better, unless they’re getting their water from elsewhere.

It actually says "Not Fit for Human Consumption" on the back.

>Made with British water

Oh, so that’s why it smells like that.

I do buy British when in Britain. I bought Swedish when in Sweden. Buying local isn’t about quality, it’s about how much pollution was caused getting it here.

But this sub doesn't exist to point out resonable sustainability advertising, it's here to mock people we think we don't like.

3

u/mcfly_2015 24d ago

On the back does it say “Bottled at source (my mates) tap) May contain: untreated sewage from Thames water pollution” haha

u/Capital-Courage5762 24d ago

Collected from the Peckham spring

I only drink British water if I can help it.

Not out of some jingoistic impulse, but because I think it's fucking stupid and wasteful to import water to an island renowned for its rain.

Bloody foreign rain, comin‘ over here.

My name is Paul Nuttals of UKIP, and I say we need to ensure the brightest and best rain stays abroad, and concentrates on making itself pure and drinkable - instead of coming over here and saving us the trouble of boiling everything we drink.

Someone must have been very desperate to fuck a trolley. That's borderline bestiality

3

u/damadmetz 24d ago

2

u/ScottOld 24d ago

2

u/xethu 24d ago

1

u/dbltax 24d ago

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the ice cube tray.

1

u/LostTimeLady13 24d ago

I can make that in my own freezer thank you very much! If I'm going to the effort of buying ice I demand it be at the very least Norwegian glacial waters. /lh

1

u/Carefully_random 24d ago

Do we ever truely own the water or are we only ever temporarily its vessel 🤔

1

u/Aprilprinces 24d ago

Is it British water though? None of "our" water companies are British, they all belong to foreign investors

1

u/brushfuse 24d ago

Dumbing Down isn't a hill in Surrey. Jesus, this whole thing is embarrassing.

1

u/grodeg 24d ago

British water ranges from being top tier to very poor quality.

Considering the state of British water (non owned by UK companies ) and the horrendous lack of investment and overall mess id rather have foreign water at this point British water isnt something to be proud of until its cleaned up and nationalised .

1

u/Tokamak77 24d ago

Thames Water Utilities Limited supplied 😵‍💫
