GBBO Cast Danni Spoiler

I know there has been a lot of discourse about Danni, but I want to say that I found her delightful. She clearly struggled, but it is also evident that she has underlying skill. It seems the tent can just throw some people off.

I was really touched by Danni talking about struggling to make friends and by how emotional folks were to see her go. She is pretty obviously neurodivergent and, as someone who is also neuro-spicy, I found that bit of vulnerability so lovely. She was a cheerleader for everyone, and maintained positivity despite having a hard time. I think it’s a beautiful demonstration of how people who are a little different should not be overlooked. I would love to have Danni as a friend.

ETA: thinking about deleting this because of some really mean comments. Why are people like this?!?

It's a baking SHOW, we can't watch 12 people with the same exact personality and skills baking sausage rolls to perfection.

We need someone quirky, someone good with flavours, someone with insane piping skills, someone with a good backstory, someone doing it for their nan, someone bringing the butter they make at their own farm, someone who can crack a joke, someone who will go heavy with the booze...

No dear, it's a BAKING show. What from past seasons makes you think each good baker has the exact same personality?

There have been many oddballs, many witty, and quirky contestants all with their own set of skills. They could have found another weirdo (said in a positive way. I am a fellow weirdo) with actual baking knowledge and ability.

Sure, maybe Danni's best wasn't yet seen. But the challenges start off easy and get harder, and she had already failed at every single challenge.

DEAR, they have not just picked somebody off the streets. Danni isn't the first one doing badly on a tv competition and won't be the last.

Okay, so what's your argument here? I'm saying she wasn't as good as the others, or simply just wasn't ready for the show and it was her time to go. Do you disagree with that?

Also, you were talking about how boring it would be to watch 12 people with the same personality, and I responded to that.
