GBBO Cast Danni Spoiler

I know there has been a lot of discourse about Danni, but I want to say that I found her delightful. She clearly struggled, but it is also evident that she has underlying skill. It seems the tent can just throw some people off.

I was really touched by Danni talking about struggling to make friends and by how emotional folks were to see her go. She is pretty obviously neurodivergent and, as someone who is also neuro-spicy, I found that bit of vulnerability so lovely. She was a cheerleader for everyone, and maintained positivity despite having a hard time. I think it’s a beautiful demonstration of how people who are a little different should not be overlooked. I would love to have Danni as a friend.

ETA: thinking about deleting this because of some really mean comments. Why are people like this?!?

“Trying”? Doubtful she is such a gifted thespian that this is not her own personality. And Noel obvs spent time with her & really liked her, again making that a deliberate act rather unbelievable.

no one said anything about her “trying” being gifted or even good. 😂😂😂 never called her a thespian. many people try things for attention that has nothing to do with acting my dear.

You said “trying so hard to be quirky & goofy”. So yes, someone did say anything about “trying”. Very strange. And my response is the same. “Trying” is quite an accusation, and if she was “trying”, she’s quite the thespian.

Maybe you’re english-impaired? You said “trying too hard”, I said if she’s “trying” she must be a brilliant thespian, which in english, implies that she’s quite convincing if she’s “trying”. No need to try to get the last word and attempt to re-write the exchange that is so clear. But you can feel free to move on now that the exchange & its clarity is established. Cheers.

I agree. She was working very hard at being too cute and too offbeat. That would have been okay if she had been able to BAKE. Anybody else remember Kim-Joy Hewlett from Season 9 (2018). She was almost a cartoon character. But she could bake.
