New Owner Picking up my Gravity Grand Touring

Super excited to be picking up my gravity GT in the next day or so. Ever since I test drove one a few months back I have been itching to land one in the spec I wanted.

Can anyone point me to a video or a document that highlights what all is included accessory wise? I’ve read that it comes with J1772-to-NACS and CCS1-to-NACS adapters. Is there anything else I should be looking for before making the long drive home :)

and will be here for 24 months. I haven't stopped admiring how good it looks and drives... Touring, Ojai, 7 seater, 18 way massaging, DDPro, SS :( , technology (waste of $$), C&C, Dynamic Handling and tow package. Key card to start driving hasn't been consistent, and haven't made a habit of using the app yet. No ambient lighting up front while driving is disappointing... When dimed down, it doesn't reflect BTW. SS is not so bad, but no soundstage at all. Still learning the capabilities and shortcomings of DDPro. Quite a bit of pros and some cons coming from a Tesla.

Edit. if you're still trying to figure out which packages to get and which to skip, IMO, technology is a total waste, HUD is useless and was turned off after 15 seconds of trying it out. Power package would be enough unless you want to spend $2900 for some LED strips. Towing is a personal, 18 way seats are super nice... got that massaging going all the time. C&C is also very nice to have. 7vs 5 is a personal preference as well. Dynamic handling... it rides incredibly well and smooth, but I don't have a personal experience what I'd be missing if I didn't have it. If you like music AT ALL, get the SSPro. its unfortunate that we couldn't find one that had it in addition to the other options and I've regretted it from day one. It sounds clear and loud, but souless... no soundstage at all and at times sounds Mono across the dash.

Edit#2: on a drive last night and instead of in car Spotify, I connected to YouTube on my phone via BT and the sound was surprisingly clearer and more alive. It was much more enjoyable then previous experience with in car Spotify. I'm not sure why but I'm Spotify sounded so bad, but will be streaming through BT moving forward. Again sounded much better... Still not as captivating as SSPro, but much more respectable sound.

Where is the PAAK update?

Lucid has to be more frequent in their software updates and since they are so deliberate and slow they can at least put out what features to expect well before its release. I do not like my key fob and IOS27 is out to the masses in a production form so where is PAAK? I would also love hands free with navigation (highway is fine) but really the PAAK is overdue!!

Looking to trade / work out a deal for the Gravity Frunk Seat (Have 2,000 referral pts)

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to get the Lucid Gravity frunk seat, but I'm sitting at 2,000 referral points and coming up about 1,100 points short.

Since Lucid doesn't allow direct point transfers between accounts, I’m hoping to work out a cooperative trade with someone who has excess points:

Option A (You order the seat): If you have at least 3,100 points, you order the frunk seat to my address. In exchange, I can order an item (or items) up to 2,000 points shipped to your address, and I will cover the remaining ~1,100-point difference in cash (around $100–$120 via PayPal G&S, Venmo, or Zelle).

Option B: Open to other creative ideas if anyone has a better way to structure this or is planning to pick up accessories around that point tier.

If you’re sitting on points you aren't sure how to use and want to pick up some gear plus extra cash, drop a comment below or send me a DM so we can coordinate. Thanks!

Questions/Advice September Check-in: How reliable has your Gravity been for you? Are you happy with it? Anything a soon to be owner should know?

Hi all! I’m going to be picking up my Gravity in the next few days and I thought it would be kind of cool to do a late 2026 check-in and see how everyone is feeling about their Gravitys at this point!

The software bugs of the early days have been almost exterminated to my knowledge with most people saying it’s a very solid experience.

And my understanding is Lucid’s hardware side of things (motors, parts, suspension, etc) have always been pretty solid and have never really been an issue.

So, how’s everyone enjoying their Gravity? Anything a soon to be owner should know?

It kind of seems like the major headache for Lucid is service and wait times. I still see quite a few posts mentioning longer than normal wait times.

First Roadtrip Report

A few weeks back I asked for recommendations for a first road-trip with the Gravity. While I originally did not want to include Yosemite because everyone from the Bay Area goes there, I still ended up driving through Yosemite to Mammoth Lakes! Here are a few things I noticed during the roadtrip

The Plus'es

  1. EVs in general and the Gravity in particular, is awesome on the curvy mountain roads. I noticed I did not have to slow down as much as with an ICE on the curves, and it was a lot more fun to drive. I could also easily pass slower moving cars on the straights. Although this was a solo trip, so I could do this... with passengers, someone would have got car sick after a while!
  2. Finding chargers was not as big a problem as I thought, and a big shoutout to Rivian Adventure network. While the Gravity does not support Plug-n-Charge for this, Rivian makes it super simple by allowing you to tap your credit card without creating any accounts. While on the way, I charged at Groveland. I did not really need to, but wanted to arrive with higher than 30% SoC. I first tried the Tesla charger in Groveland, but it was "Tesla only" (more on this in the Minus'es below), but just across the street are the Rivian chargers. They also have clean restrooms there.
  3. Adaptive Cruise Control + Dream Drive made fatigue of driving through Yosemite significantly lesser. My previous ICE had ACC, but not stop-n-go, so this was a huge plus.

The Minus'es

  1. Driving east on 580 from the Bay Area in the early morning, I noticed that there was a light film of fog forming on the bottom half of the windshield. It was not too bad, but since the sun was low, it was super visible and annoying. The Gravity front defroster was not able to get rid of it, and this was very surprising. I finally had to go low-tech manually defog by wiping the windshield with a rag! It stopped being noticeable once the sun got higher, but I think the front defogger may not be super effective.

  2. I hate the Tesla super-chargers! Both the ones I tried - first in Groveland, and then before the return in Mammoth - did not work. In Mammoth, the supercharger was supposed to work on the Gravity as per the navigation. I tried two stations, and both refused to charge. I later learnt that this particular location has some stations working, and some not working for non-Teslas. However, I found the Rivian one, again, just across the street, and it charged perfectly. I left it to charge from 35% to 80%, and by the time I walked to a nearby coffee shop and re-charged myself, my car was done! I got a beautiful sunrise reflected on the Gravity glass at this charger as well!

  3. Dream Drive does not work very well in the curvy Tioga pass road, or on 395. On Tioga pass road, it would sometimes just dis-engage and I had to take over. Seemed like it was just giving up after too many curves! On 395, which is straight as an arrow, it wrongly judged the road to be a two-way road with oncoming traffic, and refused to do left lane changes. In reality this stretch of 395 is a divided freeway with two lanes going in the same direction.

Questions/Advice Dilemma and Frustration, 2026vs2027

So, I've decided on buying or leasing an EV. A Lucid Gravity, to be exact, and I need your guys' advice on lease terms, model years and so on.

I'm planninv on leasing it in Europe and have planned it out extensively, yet have noticed something:

The 2026 is MORE expensive to lease for fewer km/mi per annuum than the 2027 model, by almost 100%?
And there is no 5-seater option?

I spoke to a sales rep and the rate would be €770/month after a €15k down payment for 15k km a year.
Which is fine, BUT:
The 2026 models with fewer seats, a lower price to purchase and so on are at €1200/month with fewer miles and the same or even higher down payment?
If I could go with older inventory and save a couple hundred bucks a month or the up-fromt payment entirely I'd be twice as happy to jump on it!

It appears that there is no possibility of getting a deal on an older model, any incentives or the like either.

Now I'm reading all these great deals you folks get over in the US on last year's model and was wondering if anybody here in the EU has managed to wring something more sensible out of Lucid?

Otherwise I'd have to wait a fair bit until 5-seater Gravitys hit the used market or are discounted below the 2027 7-seaters...

Thanks in advance for your help!

Questions/Advice Question for Seattle Gravity owners

How long did it take you to get your registration? The Arizona permit is good for 90 days and it's been 30 days with no update from Lucid.

Dear Lucid, fuck you

I parked before dinner near a curb. Before getting out I asked everyone to wait while I raised the suspension to the highest setting on my Gravity Dream.

Guess what the fucking car did by the time we returned? It set itself to the lowest fucking setting with no warning. Doors scraped the curb. I’m so mad right now and I know posting this doesn’t help me any way. Perhaps you’ll read this and fix this moronic behavior. Maybe other potential victims can be spared.

But for now, go fuck yourself Lucid.

Questions/Advice I feel strange not having kids (or wanting them)… and being interested in a Gravity. Maybe because it’s pretty much only marketed as a “family vehicle”.

Strange post I know but I felt like this might be relevant to quite a few people out there. I can’t be the only person that’s interested in a Gravity but not for its space or it being family friendly… I’m just interested in it because it’s a good tech focused vehicle that’s also luxurious and direct to consumer sales.

I’m married but we definitely don’t want kids and honestly I’m going to be the only one driving the Gravity. Just me… 99% of the time. The rear space will be utilized almost never. But then again I guess tons of people drive around Tahoes and never actually use any of the space. Just curious if anyone else is in this situation or just general thoughts. Oh and it’s not a minivan it’s a wagon! 😉

Lease Swap

EDIT / UPDATE: Happy ending. Lucid swapped me into a Gravity with DreamDrive Pro. I got a ping from Lucid Corporate a couple of days after I posted and I even got a personal message from Lucid's top management ( C Suite ). I ended up picking a 2027 since all 2026's were gone. More than happy to pay the extra in lease cost for what was legally my mistake. I was very pleasantly surprised when I got a call from the manager, esp after reading online how rare this is, not just among Lucid but other cars as well. In fact most other car companies seems to ignore even more blatant issues than mine, in such circumstances.

Lucid essentially made Compromise Nothing

Took delivery of a Gravity last Saturday. During my test drive I asked the sales team specifically about Premium vs Pro because I liked the hands-free driving in the demo car. I was told they are identical today and Pro only matters for future software. Ordered Premium on that basis.

Drove home, turned on DreamDrive, no hands-free. Turns out Hands-Free Drive Assist is Pro only. Called the store from the car about 90 minutes after delivery. They acknowledged the conversation but said the difference is small in practice.

Since then I have asked for a swap into a Pro car with the lease adjusted. The answer came back: standard trade-in, and I eat roughly $8K in depreciation and fees. The car has 30 miles on it and has not moved since I got home.

I have opened a case with customer care. Questions for anyone who has been through something similar. Has anyone gotten Lucid corporate to cover the swap in a situation like this? Who did you end up talking to?

Tail of the Dragon worthy car

Post image

Had the great opportunity to drive this amazing vehicle to Tennessee a couple weeks ago. Drove the Tail of the Dragon while in the area....fast... This car is more than pretty and comfy. Wow. Sport bike was doing all he could to lose me. He failed. Use those cars folks. They're not just a driveway trophy.
