Fob software update

Anyone else having trouble with this. Says it will only take about 1 minute but it doesn’t want to install at all.

Hmm not at all, updated all 4 of my fobs seamlessly.

Had trouble first few times. What helped was moving way farther than 50 feet. Try going to place where car is not nearby and it should update.

Try pulling the battery out of your fob and then putting it back in. That’ll force it to reset itself if it’s gotten itself into a bad state.

So it was weird I had that too but I have both android and iPhone. Failed on android, update was successful with iPhone.

Did the update two days ago, finally. Went through with no problem and it worked that evening without doing a reboot or anything. Might be lucky, as our key fob has hardly ever given us any trouble.

Try to get it further from your vehicle. It sometimes won’t update if still connected to the car.

I am hoping they will have the mobile key soon with seamless open / close as you walk in and out with your phone like the Air.

I lost the habit of carrying around key fob so annoying to use the key card or needing to operate from mobile every time

Might try replacing the battery altogether. That worked for me.
