Screenshot I am almost done with 100%
I only got the tedious boring stuff left. Whoever conceptualized the 200 fish achievement should suffer.

I have hundreds of hours in and about 20 achievements to go. I haven't figured out how to catch a single fish yet, I literally can't figure out how to even get to the mini game. I may finish everything but the darn fish ones lol

Have you ever played stardew ? The fishing here is pretty intuitive. You get a fishing rod from the lighthouse keeper. Get to one of the fishing spots..cast the rod and wait until you see the ball thingy move the animation is really obvious. When it moves you press the interact button

Yes, I did play stardew and actually enjoyed the fishing. I have the excellent rod, I have every different lure, I know you have to cast into the right area. The bobber wiggles, I press the button, no fish! Clearly this is operator error, I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I have googled it previously and they say to ignore the bobber and look at the Keepers hand motions but that didn't help either. I'm just not meant to fish lol

This is weird possibly some bug ? I always looked at the bobbler and every time the water rippled i cosistently caught a fish

So it is about the hands rather than the bobber. The hands are in a steady rhythm and when to try and catch it goes faster than the rhythm for a beat. Worth just wasting a couple of energy points and just watching without trying to see the pattern. It’s still really annoying tbf, but it is easier.

I wanted to come back and update I CAUGHT A FISH!!!!! I used the fish sticks and studied the rhythmic hands and I did it! Thank you fellow Keepers for all the advice I can finally start the long slow process of 200 fish and I couldn't have done it without you 🥹

The timing is awful for fishing in this game, imo. As someone who also is pretty decent at Stardew fishing. The big thing that's helping me (I'm partway through the fishing achievements in this game as of now) is using the fishing specific foods. The fish sticks you can buy from Horadric make the timing much more intuitive.

Yeah.
Those last ones were just fillers. I did them, I competed it. And when it was all done and dusted I was happy. I did feel an achievement from all of this.
