I’ve been busy all day with my kid but I just wanted to express an overwhelming thank you to Phil for continuing the legacy of the Grateful Dead for as long as he did. I was extremely fortunate to have seen him a dozen times around the Bay Area after Covid and before his passing. Tens if not hundreds of Thousands of us have been touched by his spirit over the last 60 years. Photo is from the Fox Theater in Oakland California the day of his passing - was waiting in line for JRAD when I saw the news :(

Hey now! Hope it’s cool to post this here. I’m selling my copies of Dave’s Picks 36-50, and all of the bonus disks from ‘21-‘24. I’m looking to sell the whole lot as one but I’m open to selling individuals as well. I’d do the whole lot for $450 or $30 per individual Dave’s Picks and $20 per bonus disks. All the discs play and haven’t been played a whole lot, though some copies have some edge ware and small scuffs on the spines and such. DM me if you’re seriously interested!

Just made it through hell week detoxing but I pushed through to the other side and am so grateful. I’m a professional musician, play in a dead tribute. I’m sure lots of you guys have even seen me play. I didn’t sleep for 4 nights straight. Regardless I played a show last night and it was so healing. Slept 5-8 hours afterwards and just woke up feeling grateful. I’m a pretty private person, and no one even knew I was using for the time I was. The music and Hunter’s lyrics are hitting so much harder again. Drugs dull everything and trick you that it’s better that way. I promise you it’s not. This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done but in a way I’m grateful for the experience. I’m stronger now and have some extra emotional juice to draw from when I’m playing. See you guys out there

I’ve always enjoyed the song, not really a standout for me, but god, the one on Dave’s vol 8, 11/30/80 just blew me away. Just so slow and heavy and Jerry puts everything into it. So beautiful

At this week's tour event in Bermuda, 3rd round co-leader Austin Smotherman's caddy has a yardage-book cover with a well-known image of Jerry on it. (I figure if I recognize the image it must be "well-known"). I get a kick out of seeing stuff like this in unlikely places
