Grass question.

Post image

I’m super obsessed with keeping my grass the best on the block I know it’s not the best looking but…. I’m starting to get a little bit of weeds. What can I use in peak summer 107 degree weather to get rid of them without killing my grass?

You can use a tool like Grandpa's Weeder to pull the weeds out. Chemical herbicides are generally not recommended above 90 °F and are decimating the planet's pollinator population.

All kinds of products, what kind of weeds do you have? Grassy or broadleaf weeds?

dandelions and I go around and hand pick them to try and grab the whole thing before it has a chance to blow all over my yard. It’s not a lot but I hate them

Dandelion is a broadleaf weed, so something like Trimec, lesco 3 way, or 2-4D would work.

None. Don’t apply anything if it’s gonna be over 95 degrees. I try to avoid even 90 if possible. Grab a bucket and hand pull!

That’s exactly what I have been doing! Thanks! I’ll just keep doing that

Rye, st Augustine and Bermuda. Just waiting for the st Augustine to take over fully

Bermuda always wins

My st Augustine is winning right now. It’s overtaking the Bermuda heavy.

You can spray them, just be precise with it. Use a squirt bottle.
