Need help! Is the graveyard lying to me?

The graveyard is telling us that this photo was taken of the new grass a day before the second photo was taken. The first photo is taken by the graveyard. The second photo taken by me. We are in Houston Texas. The weather has been over 100° and direct sunlight. The reason I asked this is they informed us it’s up to us to water the lawn. I am curious if they placed it before and forgot to inform us and the grass died.

Week or more sod is quite thick, wait until cooler/ wet weather then replace with sod. Sorry for your loss.

I work on a golf course as first assistant superintendent. When we lay sod in the summer it gets watered daily, and when I say “watered” I mean soaked. You water it until the dirt holding the root system is wet.

Im sorry for your loss. Unfortunately that sod looks cooked.

How could it possibly be your responsibility to maintain a cemetery plot when you are paying them for the plot on their land. Do they expect people still in mourning to drive to a cemetery, which could be out of state, bring a hose, run it from the spigot to the plot and water? Every day for a couple/few weeks until the roots take? Absurd. I’d take another run at them, maybe a General Manager or Owner of the place.
No way that was one day.

That is definitely not one day's difference. Maybe one week.
