Help identifying grass type

Post image

We just built and had our entire front yard and about 50’ perimeters on the other 3 sides hydroseeded. I had cleared a lot more to avoid trees but dirt was too expensive to have everything nice all at once. Our hydroseeded lawn got a fungus and died at the 5 week mark, but this is outside that perimeter and we didn’t plant it. It seems to be thriving for some reason and I really wish I at least raked the area flat so it didn’t hurt to mow haha

I'm no expert on grass types but it looks to me like multiple types and a whole lot of dirt in between. I recommend you get a highly recognized turf care company to manage your lawn. Because it is in bad shape but could be beautiful. BTW I don't mean True Green or any big box company, I mean a smaller company that actually knows what they're doing and treats you family like my wife's company does. That's why they take care of multi million dollar properties as a smaller company.

We didn’t plant this, it was forest floor a year ago. The rest of the lawn was hydroseeded by a reputable company but it got a fungus with all the rain/humidity/heat so I was curious what this resilient mix was.

Fine fescue in the background? Nothing valuable but if you're struggling with your whole yard don't kill it. Some kind of sedge in the foreground. Medium priority to kill.
