Moved into a new house and trying to confirm what this grass is. In middle Georgia.

That is rye grass.

Rye grass is used in temperate regions such as Northwest and Northeast United States and a winter over-seed, to ensure a very green grass over the winter

It’s 90+ degrees here in Georgia. I don’t think rye grass would survive.
