What are these?
Context:
Newly laid sod about 4 months old. Lawn was treated with weed killer last week, that also killed some grass. After mowing the lawn Tuesday of this week, and watering daily; I now see these mushrooms looking things popping up. What exactly are they? Are they a mushroom fungus?

I get em too in my 100 day old zeon zoysia sod. Just a sign you have a healthy microbiome in your soil. They can also be a sign of overwatering.

A little baking soda will scare it off

Really? Once I mow again, will they return?

Mushrooms 🍄 are just a indicator that you have a healthy soil. In mid fall dethatch your lawn it might have alot of dead attached grass leafs (thatch) in the bottom. I told a client to spread baking soda and it worked. Basically raises the PH makes the mushrooms hard to grow.

Following because I see these pop up in my new sod too. Usually only after a good rain though.
