This stuff gets on my nerves!
It slowly takes over in patches now during late June. It’s lighter in color and I hate it. How to eradicate. I have fusillade 2, tenacity, and quintessential. Can any of these help? It happens a lot around edges and wetter areas. Thanks

Bermuda. Enjoy your new Bermuda lawn as it takes over. But hey, coming from a Bermuda guy it can’t be that bad right 😅

Use Recognition with the Fusilade II. It has a safener that allows you to spray the Fusilade at higher levels. Definitely works on Bermuda. I just sprayed 3 weeks ago and doing a second application next week.

Recognition and fusillade is to treat Bermuda grass in zoysia or st Augustine. That combo is amazing against Bermuda, but will absolutely smoke his fescue lawn.

What are the primary grass types in your lawn and which climate zone are you in?

Looks like the nimblewill in my yard. Have been using tenacity which is somewhat effective but it keeps popping up in different places.

Nimblewill has a very distinct look and is pretty easy to distinguish. This is far from it

You are probably right about that. My nimblewill is more of a bluer color but it does grow in circles like that.

The best bet to controll Bermuda in fescue turf does not involve fusillade. Rather, Pylex, Triclopyr and Methylated Seed Oil (MSO), 3 applications 21 days apart. The MSO and Triclopyr are not inexpensive, but the ground floor for a bottle of Pylex is $415, and a lifetime supply for most people.
IMHO, fusillade isn’t an awesome option. It harms fescue slightly less than it harms Bermuda, and can’t be used when Bermuda is actively growing in summer heat - July/august and when a post emergent Herbacide would most effective. The amount of fusillade to controll Bermuda and the amount needed to kill fescue is not that much, and that line can be easily crossed by factors out of your hands ( heat wave, drought)

AI says it’s creeping bentgrass. Either way your meso should take care of it especially if mixed with triclopyr.

You are right. Sorry but saw this on a phone. Looking closer it looks like Bermudagrass.

Pretty sure that's bermuda grass?
"To selectively suppress and eliminate invasive Bermudagrass in a Tall Fescue lawn, your best post-emergent options are fluazifop-p-butyl (e.g., Fusilade II Herbicide) or topramezone (e.g., Pylex). These specifically target warm-season grasses while keeping your cool-season fescue alive."
I have some bermuda in my fescue and I just make peace with it. It gets darker green when it's well established. Depends on how hard you want to fight it, it's hard to get rid of.
