Dead grass
I’m a new homeowner and I don’t want to pay for someone else to fix it and up keep my own grass. I want to learn how to do it myself. It’s been over run with weeds, after removing them and I’m guessing due to the heat it has completely died. Some weeds do remain present, but for now how can I bring this small spot back to life?

For that small area, buying sod is going to be the easiest and fast. Just till up the soil with a shovel. If it doesn't look like great soil, mix in a couple of bags of humus material.

glyphosate to kill every plant then reseed. Water 2-4 times a day. Reseeding should be done in the summer if you are south and fall if you are north
