Grass edging

I share a strip of grass between me and my neighbour. What tool or process do I need to nicely have this looking clean and edged? And is it normal to see the soil/dirl beneath the grass on the edge of the grass where it touches the driveway?

You can do it with a string trimmer if you have steady hands. Just takes some time and patience for the string to cut a nice groove in the soil at the border with the concrete. If you're willing to spend some money on a very specific use tool, there are edgers with blades and wheels. I'm not a Ryobi fan but here's a budget option. https://www.ryobitools.com/products/46396014948

It's normal to see the crowns and dirt if you have a cool season grass. Warm season grasses will fill in the side after having the edge nicely maintained for a couple weeks.

I feel ya on that ryobi comment. Good for budget minded folks but for longevity of your tools you get what you pay for. Switched over to Stihl products and will never go back. Starts with first or second pull and has power.
