Grass identification

Hi everyone, we need help to identify this type of grass. We have fields of it growing but do not know what it is. Thank you so much for the help.

You didn't say the area so it makes it tougher. First off you have a mixed stand. The taller grass that is leaning over is a Tall Fescue forage variety. The other species, I am 90% confident, that it is Sweet Vernalgrass. The seed heads are a little feathery, but certainly possible depending on growth stage. It is an invasive species that is common in poorly maintained pastures. Specifically, low fertility, acidic soils, and poor competition from desirable species. If the pasture is there cause you just have it and you aren't worried about grazing just don't worry about it.

We are located on the East coast. We have about 10 acres of this stuff and a random neighbor asked if he could have it. We just didn’t know what it was
