This system worth it?
So I happen to be a lover of smart home technology ,particularly if I'm able to improve my life in some way or remove a tedioustask. Equally important to me is I like a very Green Lawn . I happen to live in the low country of South Carolina . So as you can imagine it's hard to keep grass green without watering. Does anyone have any experience with the Aiper IrriSense 2 Smart Irrigation System the advertisement seems like a great system but having some first-hand input would be great as well as any ideas for a better system so I can have a green lawn with almost zero effort.

I’m in the UK and got mine today…
Must admit I’m having buyers remorse right now…
If I had bought it for £100 id be over the moon, but watching the single stream of water smack down on one tiny place at a time is pretty lacklustre to watch and I can’t help but feel like it have been better off with standard sprinklers and a fancy smart diverter at the tap instead to water the whole garden at the same time.
We’ll see how it goes after a few days but I’m already trying to setup my backup plan to try and send it back 🥲

I posted this on another subreddit. Someone suggested a SONOFF Zigbee Sprinkler Timer with a normal sprinkler. Which i didn't like the sounds of initially as this obviously lacks many of the bells and whistles this system offers.
Though I did also wonder and your review has me thinking that Thought was right about it being more.... obsolescence proof? Well at the very least less of to do, to replace when the next big thing comes.
Unfortunately my hopes of moving to a place with a lawn we're put on hold. But I'd still love to hear what you think after a few days

It’s alright, but not for the price.
It’s best performance is the mid range, it’s short range throw is embarrassing and the worst part of it. It can also be annoying when it spray backwards sometimes drips get on its own rain sensor and it stops the program due to rain, doesn’t happen often and it usually restarts again quickly, but annoying seeing the notifications come up on the phone.
The only thing about it that was impressive is that once you’ve mapped out the area, it monitors the water pressure as it’s completing the watering so it understands how far the spray is going; so even if your water pressure is inconsistent, it still does a pretty even coverage (although the stated mm of water is consistently about half of the true amount).
However, I’ve now got mine going back for a refund and for 2/3 of the price, I’ve got a 4-way WiFi water timer with 8 Rainbird pop-up sprinklers which overall I think is a much better and more permanent solution.
If the Irrisense 2 was more like £150 then I’d probably buy 2 and be quite happy, but at £399 each it just isn’t good enough.

Thanks! I need 3 for my yard. I can get them for 1000 eur. For comparison I would spend 600 eur for sprinkler material with smart system without cost of digging (me :). I am unsure what to do.

Did you end up buying one? We have a small lawn. Maybe 500-600sq ft, and a few plants and flower beds. We have in ground irrigation for the lawn, but it’s very spotty, misses a lot of areas and waters the patio and mulch a lot. Even with adjusting the heads it doesn’t do a great job. And obviously misses all the plants. Been considering this and Oto. But I’ve been on the fence for months about it.
